Good Reads

You may be about to head off to Europe for a dreamy European Summer or you have simply exhausted your "must read' list and are looking for something new - we have you covered! Here are a list of some of our favourite books/ online blogs:

The Architecture of Happiness Alain de Botton

The book argues that we are strongly influenced by where we

are each day. A must for anyone interested in their surroundings

and finding beauty in it.

The Wife Draught, Annabel Crabb - One of our favourite journalist/authors, this book is a great read for men and women about gender and an egalitarian society.

Dark Emu, Bruce Pascoe - The most important Australian fiction book that everyone should read. It details Australian Aborigines use of farming, seed storage, irrigation and architecture, and challenges the “Hunter-gatherer” label placed upon them. Homo Deus: A history of tomorrow, Yuval Noah Harari - The one book we couldn’t put down last year. It traverses human history and the future of AI, genetic engineering and new technologies.

Museum of Modern Love, Heather Rose - A wonderful Australian novel about modern art and love, told in such a beautiful way. We thought about this story for many months after reading it.

The Good Trade

An online blog created for those seeking to live an inspired and intentional life, The Good Trade was built on the fundamental idea that consumers are capable of driving significant social change through their everyday purchases, consumer preferences and lifestyle choices.

IN BED Journal

A journal that interviews like-minded creatives all around the world; capturing their homes, families and creative processes.

Some other books and magazines we are loving are:

  • Cereal mag

  • Monocle mag

  • Dumbo Feather mag

  • The Cormoran Series by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling)
