One of our favourite cities on earth, and not just for its beautiful buildings. The ease of access via public transport, bike lanes and as a pedestrian make Copenhagen such a fun city to explore. The produce is most often local and organic, there are so many amazing cafes and restaurants, and the galleries and museums are some of the best in the world. And lets not forget that danish design and architecture has been at the forefront since the 1920s.
The Danish Design Museum was by far our favourite. You can view all the furniture designs that have made Denmark the centre of design for the last 100 years, plus all the iconic chairs designs from around the world. Included are the likes of Hans Wegner, Kaare Klint, Michael Thonet and Charles Eames.
Cycling to the Dronning Louises Bro (Queen Louise Bridge) in the afternoon to have a beer with the locals, or simply just sitting on the bridge to people watch for hours.
Below are some images of our week spent in Copenhagen, featuring our favourite cafes, restaurants, museums, design stores, swimming spots and parks.
