Croydon Cottage embodies a contemporary family cottage, as well as highlighting the beauty and the challenges that come with designing a smaller space that happens to be over 100 years old. We created a custom home for this growing family and we are excited to see all the growth, play and relaxation this new space will provide each family member.

We used a creamy brick as one fo the main features in the joinery to accompany the oak - the entertainment unit joinery, the dining seat nook and the kitchen splashback all feature this brick which creates a subtle continuity throughout the home. This brick was a contemporary nod to the cottage bricks as well as the original brick fireplace in the kitchen which we drew inspiration from.

We also transformed an old outhouse which was used as a shed for many years, into a luxurious green bathroom, adding an extra bathroom to serve this family of 5.
